Why are programs important for coaching?

The curriculum was designed by the founders of the skill Itself Carlos Gracie Sr. with his brothers and later we improved it within the Gracie Barra Schools.

Dozens of masters with the highest ranks participated in the creation and improvement, each with experience of over 40 years. I'm spent in sports.
"My experience is not yours, my knowledge is not yours, my feeling is not yours."
This means that if we do not follow the curriculum, there is a free interpretation that does not go in the direction of progress.  Assistants, coaches and professors (black belts) have a feeling that is often not the feeling of other practitioners, least of all beginners. Especially if the goal is to transfer knowledge and not create in one's own image which we consider wrong.
The standard of transferring knowledge where the whole concept of struggle is transmitted planned according to programs and where complete fighters are created who can later always advance on success and knowledge and surpass their teachers, which is the goal of all of us is the characteristic of Gracie Barra.

All programs last 16 weeks (4 months) and are renewed (beginner groups) or moved to the next level (advanced groups).

No matter when you join, after 16 weeks you will make a circle and go back to the beginning and then go through the program again. No matter how much progress you make, you will realize that the improvement of the skill is yet to come. You can always improve and be better. Our way of working does not depend on the mood of the instructor or only his experiences. Programs develop each individual to the limit and each gives a stamp to their development. This is important so that progression is not limited to those with physical predispositions, but an equal chance is given to everyone.

Another important factor is the learning method. The planned work program and its duration of 16 weeks and then the restoration of it are measurable to instructors who see more clearly the progress of the exercisers, but also the practitioners themselves who clearly see the progress in the process. The measurable part of training is important to practitioners that encourages them to be better.

This is how individuals and the team progress.
Gracie Barra is a team where individuals are constantly advancing while being subordinated to team success.
